A theory paper in Physical Review B proposes reading an Andreev qubit through the oscillating supercurrent it generates itself. Simulations are promising, but no experiment has tested it yet.
A color-code memory on a 98-qubit trapped-ion machine reached about 5 errors per million correction rounds at distance 7. Suppression of roughly 12× per step is far above what earlier demonstrations showed.
RIKEN-led team traces parallel-drive errors in a five-qubit silicon array to AC Stark shifts and corrects them with pairwise phase calibration, keeping single-qubit fidelity at or near the 99.9% threshold.
