Quantinuum's Helios cuts logical errors 12-fold per step in code distance
A color-code memory on a 98-qubit trapped-ion machine reached about 5 errors per million correction rounds at distance 7. Suppression of roughly 12× per step is far above what earlier demonstrations showed.
