Gilles Brassard, BB84 and the 2025 Turing Award for quantum information

ACM has named Gilles Brassard and Charles Bennett joint winners of the 2025 Turing Award. Their 1984 BB84 protocol put key distribution on physical, not computational, security. Its limits are still real.
